Tamiya 24145 1/24 Nissan Skyline GT-R V.Spec
January 1995 saw the announcement at the Tokyo Motor Show of the R33, then the newest evolution of Nissan's famed Skyline GT-R. Its 2.6-liter 280hp RB26DETT inline-6 twin turbo engine was a carryover from previous models, but had improvements to the computer control, turbo compression and efficiency of air flow. The V-SPEC car was even further refined, with an active limited slip differential effect and the ATTESA E-TS PRO all-wheel drive system. Its 2-door coupe form employed bulging fenders and a large air intake in the front bumper, plus a rear wing with an inverted trapezoid design. Tested to the limit on the famed Nurburgring during its development, the R33 GT-R would go on to be a major player in Japanese domestic GT races and even the top level of endurance racing.
